Casa Matilda Mexican Steakhouse Launched by RHOM Stars and Rick Ross

Casa Matilda, the latest Mexican steakhouse in Miami, has recently thrown open its doors on Washington Avenue in Miami Beach. The place has rapidly turned into a favourite spot for celebrities. On its inaugural day, January 25, it hosted a private dinner party for Real Housewives of Miami that was attended by stars of the show such as Nicole Martin, Adriana de Moura, Kiki Barth, and Guerdy Abraira. ABC’s The Bachelor stars, Hannah Ann Sluss and Kelsey Weier along with Sports Illustrated model Kelly Hughes made their presence felt at the grand opening.

Real Housewives of Miami’s Guerdy Abraira and Nicole Martin graced the grand opening of the new Miami hotspot, Casa Matilda in Miami Beach. The Casa Matilda experience is one-of-a-kind, says Abraira, who attended the grand opening and revisited the following night with her husband telling New Times “The beautiful decor transports you into a dreamy world from the moment you walk in -from the roses on the ceiling and the entrance swing offering a perfect photo-op, to the dining room that boasts earthy hues and tones.”

In another instance of a celebrity encounter, renowned Miami rapper, Rick Ross, celebrated his birthday on February 3 with family and friends at Casa Matilda, describing the eatery as “Something Miami Beach was lacking.”

The main appeal of this place, apart from its celebrity endorsements, might be its intimate ambience. The steakhouse has a capacity to accommodate up to 150 people, with seating arrangement for 100 guests, a private corner for 16 guests and an impressive terrace set to be revealed. The cuisine is a mix of sophisticated dining and genuine Mexican fare. Among the popular items on the menu are duck carnitas tacos priced at $27, Yucatan-style ceviche at $32, a 32-ounce, dry-aged porterhouse for $245, and crab-stuffed enchiladas for $35. The place also provides its guests with a selection of more than 120 bottles of wine and a range of signature tequila cocktails.

The credit for Casa Matilda goes to Kathia Joseph, who also owns two other restaurants in Miami Beach. She expresses, “Casa Matilda’s coastal charm, along with the unique flavors from Matilda’s Taco Bar and the varied fare at Matilda’s Kitchen, represent my trio of South Beach businesses as a devoted representation of my dedication and passion.” She adds that being a black female entrepreneur, her motivation is deeply entrenched in humility and pride, drawing inspiration from the unwavering backing of her daughter.
