Genshin 4.6 Leaks Reveal Petrichor Island and New Desert Regions

The latest leaks from Genshin Impact showcase images of new regions, including Petrichor Island, rumored to be introduced in the 4.6 update.

Several Genshin Impact leaks provide players with a sneak peek into Petrichor Island and new desert regions scheduled for release in version 4.6. As the game moves towards version 4.6, it is expected to feature the much-anticipated Fatui Harbinger, Arlecchino. Interestingly, it is suggested in recent leaks that this new character will debut as a weekly boss. Players will then have to conquer a two-phase boss battle in her unique domain to win valuable prizes.

Beta leaks suggest that Genshin Impact version 4.6 will unveil new sub-regions for exploration, namely Petrichor Island and Bayda Harbor. These areas are designed to bridge the gaps between the nations of Fontaine, Liyue, and Sumeru. Petrichor Island is set towards the north of Vantana, while Bayda Harbor is located away from the mainland. Although not much information about these regions is available currently, trusted sourced assert that these zones will offer a plethora of content.

Recent leaks for Genshin Impact version 4.6 by insiders have offered players a look into Petrichor Island and the new desert areas. Petrichor Island seems to be a serene location, home to a small town and natural wonders like small lakes and a rock-strewn mountain. The island also leads to an underwater area where players may face humanoid foes.

The new desert landscapes are believed to be a part of Genshin Impact’s Sumeru region. The region’s unique architecture reminiscent of ancient Egyptian temples is apparent from the leaks. The images feature complex structures like shrines and statues, seemingly linked to the Sumeru narrative, pointing towards an interesting underground Sumeru section with potential new content.

Genshin Impact version 4.6 is also set to host events where players can participate and earn prizes like Primogems and Hero’s Wit. The main event of the upcoming update, anticipated to be “Arataki Life Rock Rainbow Grand Tour,” will occur in the Inazuma area and might reveal new aspects of Arataki Itto’s story. The popular Vibro Crystal Research event will also be available again for a brief period in version 4.6. The next major update of Genshin Impact is projected for an April 2024 release.
