Josh Peck Responds to Drake Bell’s ‘Quiet on Set’ Revelations

In light of revelations from Drake Bell about the sexual abuse he experienced at 15 years old, his former Drake & Josh co-star, Josh Peck, has responded to criticism on social media about his perceived silence. Peck, aged 37, has reportedly been in communication with Bell, 37, revealed in a new TikTok video posted on March 20.

Drake Bell addressed the issue on his video, stating: “I’ve noticed a lot of comments on some of Josh’s TikToks and some of his posts,”. He added that dealing with these issues was emotional and tough, and not everything is disclosed to the public.

Bell then stated that Peck “has reached out to [him], and it’s been very sensitive.” He also confirmed that Peck has been in conversation with him to help him cope with the situation, also expressing gratitude for his former co-star’s support and urging people to be lenient towards him.

A day later, Peck released his own statement on Instagram. “I finished the Quiet on Set documentary and took a few days to process it,” he said, “I reached out to Drake privately but want to give my support for the survivors who were brave enough to share their stories of emotional and physical abuse on Nickelodeon sets with the world.”

The posts from both Bell and Peck surfaced after Peck started receiving a wave of comments concerning Bell. Many highlighted that he hadn’t publicly addressed his former co-star’s unfortunate experience with former Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck (not related to Josh Peck) during the second episode of ID’s Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.

Bell recounted his traumatic experience with Brian, leading to Brian pleading no contest and being convicted to charges of sexually abusing a minor and performing a lewd act in 2004.

Following Bell’s revelations in Quiet on Set, Nickelodeon expressed their regret over the abuse Bell endured and commended his courage for coming forward.

Additionally, Nickelodeon addressed other allegations made against multiple crew members expressing their commitment to guarantee a safe and professional work environment void of harassment or inappropriate conduct.

Peck and Bell had faced a rupture in their friendship previously. In 2022, Peck released his book, Happy People Are Annoying, in which he claimed that he hadn’t had contact with Bell in a while due to his legal issues. Responding to this, Bell’s now-estranged wife, Janet, labelled Peck a “liar” on social media.
