Mega Man Crossover Plans Unveiled by Exoprimal
It has been announced that Capcom’s dinosaur shooter game, Exoprimal will welcome Mega Man in its upcoming Season 4 feature. Since its inauguration in July 2023, Exoprimal has continuously strived to keep its game users engaged with a steady stream of new content.
In an innovative approach, Capcom has employed its own iconic franchises for crossover partnerships with Exoprimal. The first was a partnership with Street Fighter, enabling gamers to control characters like Ryu, Guile, and Chun-Li and use their distinctive moves. Following this was a partnership with Monster Hunter, another popular game by Capcom, which added more crossover content. The introduction of a Mega Man collaboration was the next logical move into the game’s development narrative.
The Mega Man collaboration with Exoprimal was showcased in the game’s Season 4 Overview video. It demonstrated some of the crossover elements such as Mega Man-inspired exosuit skins, emotes, as well as a hinted challenge featuring the infamous Mega Man boss, Yellow Devil. Although the trailer featured only Mega Man and Air Man suits, it is predicted that there will be a wider variety of exosuits for game users to collect. The release date for the collaboration remains ambiguous, with a vague “coming soon” having been the only hint.
The Season 4 Overview wasn’t solely focused on Mega Man but also revealed other features that will be part of Exoprimal. Specifically, the trailer teased the introduction of new Beta variant exosuits, rigs, and modules. It also revealed exciting game modes like the “Time Loop Insurrection”, a 10-player co-op mode that gives players the chance to defeat the game’s final boss, Behemoth. Other interesting features include the “Custom Match” mode which gives users the option to crossplay any stage, mission, or mode.
Besides featuring Mega Man, it is also speculated that Capcom’s Dino Crisis may be introduced, providing an exciting future for Exoprimal fans. Meanwhile, Exoprimal remains a popular online team-based action game that allows players to participate in dinosaur battles using exosuit technology and offering both Player vs Environment (PvE) and Player vs Player (PvP) gaming options.
