Rose Hanbury Denies Rumors of Prince William Affair
Reports of an alleged affair involving Lady Rose Hanbury and Prince William have been categorically denied by Lady Rose’s legal representatives. The Marchioness of Cholmondeley, otherwise known as Lady Rose Hanbury, who is 40 years old, has now addressed this speculation through a statement delivered by her solicitor. They stated, “The rumors are entirely baseless,” as reported by Business Insider, though Kensington Palace has refrained from making a public statement regarding the rumor.
Lady Rose’s declaration has emerged amid persistent internet speculation concerning her relationship with Prince William, 41, and uncertainties regarding the wellbeing and current location of Princess Kate. Tabloid coverage in 2019 suggested that Prince William may have had an extramarital relationship with Lady Rose, a family closely associated with the British monarchy. Neither the Duke nor Duchess of Cambridge chose to publicly comment on the rumors at that time.
Rumors of the alleged affair resurfaced nearly four years later when the hashtag “KateGate” began circulating on social media and questions arose regarding Kate’s whereabouts following her planned abdominal surgery in January. Social engagement further increased when the Princess of Wales shared a photo of her and her children on Mother’s Day on the 10th of March. Shortly after, the Associated Press requested media outlets to refrain from using the photograph, citing manipulation of the source material.
Kate subsequently issued an apology on social media admitting to altering the image, which sparked debate over whether an artificial intelligence program had generated the picture. The Late Show’s host, Stephen Colbert, further stirred the pot when he humorously made reference to the unfounded affair rumors, speculating that Kate’s absence could be linked to Prince William’s supposed unfaithfulness. Stephen, 59, humorously contemplated about the scenario, stating that “When Kate thought she had confronted him, he just laughed it off, saying ‘there was nothing to it.'”
