Trudeau, Scholz Discuss Further Aid for Ukraine
The Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, and the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, have pledged further help to Ukraine in its struggle against Russian aggression.
This was communicated in a public statement via the Canadian Foreign Ministry following a discussion between the two leaders.
Both leaders reaffirmed their steadfast support for Ukraine in light of Russia’s continuous acts of aggression. They deliberated on the imperative of establishing lasting security commitments and collaborating on initiatives to mitigate the global consequences of the conflict.

In addition, Trudeau and Scholz discussed the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. They emphasized the need to prevent escalation of the conflict and expressed concerns over reports of an impending Israeli military operation in the southern Gaza city of Rafah.
